A Roma singer, musician and dancer specializing in flamenco and gypsy music and dance. She was born into a Roma family in Finland. She started to study classical piano at the age of eight years.
She performed from a very early age together with her family in the Roma culture events. She holds a Bachelor of Music (MuK) from the Folk Music Department of Sibelius Academy.

About Anna Dantchev
A strong singer, seasoned performer and charismatic story-teller. Having explored many vocal styles, she combines her two cultural singing heritages. Story interpretation with embedded emotions is the basis for Anna’s artistry. She teaches Bulgarian traditional singing (excelling in Bulgarian laments). Anna has studied with Bulgarian masters such as Yanka Rupkina and Neli Andreeva.

Lead singer of the world fusion group Bajo Cero and Flamenco trio Verso and a pioneer of Finnish flamenco singing pedagogy with more than a decade of teaching experience. Currently based in Helsinki.
