Join the association, not the app

Everyone can use the World Music School App to learn or offer lessons when it becomes available. No application, professional qualification or association membership is required for the app.

This form is only for applications to World Music School ry, the registered Finnish nonprofit association based in Kannus. WMS ry membership is selective and reviewed by the association’s board. We particularly welcome applicants who can explain a meaningful contribution to the association’s cultural and educational mission. Submitting this form does not create membership or any voting rights.

Membership categories under the registered association rules

Ordinary member (varsinainen jäsen) — for an individual who supports the association’s purpose. Ordinary members have one vote in association meetings.

Supporting member (kannattajajäsen) — for an individual or a legally constituted organisation wishing to support the association. Supporting members may attend and speak at association meetings but do not vote.

Honorary membership is handled by a separate nomination and association meeting process, not through this application.

Fees: the registered rules require joining and annual fees for ordinary and supporting members, with amounts decided by the association’s annual general meeting. Any applicable amounts must be confirmed to applicants before admission. No payment is requested with this application.

Tell us who is applying and why you would like to contribute to WMS ry. A musician or student profile in the WMS App is not an application for association membership.

Please do not submit ID documents, payment details, or sensitive personal information.

What happens next

Applications will be reviewed individually by the WMS ry board. The board may ask for clarification, approve or decline an application according to the association’s registered rules. There is no automatic approval. Applications are separate from the WMS App and do not entitle an applicant to lessons, teaching opportunities, facilities, events or other programmes.
