SUMMARY:Summer Solstice Event in Helsinki
DESCRIPTION:Next Sunday the 26th June 2021\, we will be bringing more folk dances and music to this free event in Helsinki\, join us at 13:00 at the Finnish National Museum. \nWe will teach there how to dance some folk dances of the world. The event counts with three groups of musicians and dance teachers that will play during the 26.06 Juhannus celebrations. The music is acoustic\, requiring no electricity. We believe these events are a great way to strengthen the connectedness among the different members of the participating diasporas. Enhancing the bonds between people of Helsinki is our way to participate in the city’s community. Indeed through Music and Dance people are sharing beyond simple words\, they convey their own enthusiasm and energy towards each other. \nThe musicians and dance teachers invited are from the diasporas in Helsinki and are professionally trained in music and dance of their own regions and countries: \n– Ivory Coast (Africa)\n– Yiddish (Europe)\n– Nicaragua (America) \nThe venue will be at the Finnish National Museum backyard between 13-16. \nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/723823568671370/?ref=newsfeed
